Scope before search

Portable or rechargeable LED desk and task lamps with an integrated battery, charging input and supplied accessories. Mains-only and wireless products need separate paths.

Fix the quote basis

Ask every supplier to quote the same controlled product configuration. Unknown fields should remain explicit questions.

Hinge loosening

Set a cycle test and post-cycle holding-force criterion.

LED color inconsistency

Approve measurable color and output limits rather than a visual sample alone.

Questions for the supplier

  1. Who assembles the battery pack and which cells are approved?
  2. Which firmware or control-board revisions affect charging and dimming?
  3. How are LED bins or light-engine substitutions controlled?
  4. What tests run at incoming, assembly and finished-goods stages?
  5. Which site and model appear on supplied reports?

  • Final-product electrical, thermal and functional evidence
  • Runtime and light-performance test method

Map the operating model

Factory and trader labels do not answer who controls the critical process.

Lamp housing, light engine, battery pack, adapter and final assembly may come from separate specialists. The buyer needs one controlled final configuration.

Keep market-access questions open

  • Treat the battery, external adapter and finished lamp as related but distinct evidence scopes.
  • Confirm transport, electrical, EMC and consumer-product questions for the exact destination.
  • Wireless controls, if present, require an additional radio review.
